Damn it feels good to be a winner.
I won a contest today.
I totally freaked out. Like, probably way more than was appropriate for the situation. I called my mom.
A few weeks ago I entered in a contest (and then forgot about it) via BAGGU’s facebook page. They posted a picture of a new color of backpack that they were selling. They weren’t quite sure what to name this totally-out-of-sight-super-stellar color of blue, so they asked The Internet.
And The Internet obliged.
Some 30,000000000,00,000„0,0,0.9 people replied with suggestions.
Blue Moon, Mermaid Blue, Azure, PaddlePop Blue (huh?), Blue Man Groove, Albuquerque Turquoise, Your Mom, Bali Breeze….
My suggestion was “Smurf Nude”. Cause, well…don’t think about it too much.
And they liked mine the best!! Out of literally tens of other names for the color blue.
So, I won a backpack. And JUST in time too because I’m going to the beach in a couple of weeks and need something to hold all the fun I’ll be having.
